Watchwolves are an excellent balance of wolf-malamute and watchdog. They are capable of being the dog you saw in the movies and always wanted. The Watchwolf wants to please, naturally acts protective, catches on quickly, and senses when you're having a bad day. They are sensitive and supportive beyond K-9 levels in ways hard to describe, but it creates fulfillment that is hard to be without. They don't have a need to communicate with neighborhood dogs; watchwolves only bark when there is a reason.
DEVELOPMENT
Many people for years wanted a gorgeous wolf that would be a good, well-behaved family companion and watchdog. Of course, this isn't realistic as wolves are more independent and shy. And, it is dangerous to mix wolf with the traditional watch or guard working dog breeds which are bred for these specific purposes, or other K-9's known to be vicious. It's a "time bomb" that usually doesn't go off for at least a couple of years.
Already developed was a watchdog blend so good it was taken to business meetings, dinners and barbecues with group acceptance and appreciation for excellent behavior under all circumstances, especially in traveling. Over time wolf-malamute was added in with the smaller amounts of this watchdog's selected breeds to develop the Wolf- Malamute watchdog. The inclusion ot these several non-aggressive breeds produced the balanced loving, well-behaved, and sensitive Watchwolf.
